Alunbrig is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) indicated for the treatment of adult patients with ALK-positive metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), as confirmed by an FDA-approved diagnostic test.
Recommended Dosage:
- 90 mg orally once daily for the first 7 days
- Increase to 180 mg once daily thereafter, with or without food
- Swallow tablets whole; do not crush or split
- If a dose is missed or vomiting occurs, resume the regular dosing schedule without taking an additional dose
Pulmonary Adverse Reactions (ILD/Pneumonitis): Monitor for respiratory symptoms, especially in the first week. Discontinue if ILD is suspected.
Hypertension: Monitor blood pressure at baseline, after 2 weeks, and monthly thereafter.
Bradycardia: Monitor heart rate, especially if combined with other medications that lower heart rate.
Fetal Harm: May cause fetal harm. Use non-hormonal contraception during and after treatment (4 months for women, 3 months for men).
