Orgovyx is a GnRH receptor antagonist prescribed for the treatment of adult men with advanced prostate cancer. It is the first and only oral androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), offering a needle-free alternative to traditional injections.
Recommended Dosage
- Day 1 (Loading Dose): 360 mg
- From Day 2 Onwards: 120 mg once daily, taken at the same time each day
- Can be taken with or without food
- Do not chew or crush the tablets – swallow whole
Orgovyx helps lower testosterone to castrate levels within days, without the initial testosterone surge seen with GnRH agonists.
⚠️ Specialist Supervision: Initiate and supervise treatment under a physician experienced in prostate cancer care.
⚠️ Pregnancy Warning: Harmful if taken by or exposed to during pregnancy. May cause fetal harm or miscarriage.
⚠️ Contraception Required: Male patients with female partners of reproductive potential must use effective contraception during and 2 weeks after treatment.
⚠️ Electrocardiogram Monitoring: Monitor electrolytes and ECGs periodically in patients at risk of QT prolongation.
⚠️ Blood Monitoring: Periodic blood cell counts are advised.
