Sotyktu is an oral tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adults with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

Limitations of Use: Sotyktu is not recommended for use in combination with other potent immunosuppressants.

Recommended Dosage:

  • 6 mg orally once daily, with or without food
  • Do not split, chew, or crush tablets
  • Evaluate for latent or active tuberculosis prior to initiation
  • Ensure all age-appropriate vaccinations are up to date before starting therapy
  • Not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh Class C)
  • Hypersensitivity Reactions: May cause angioedema. Discontinue if clinically significant reactions occur.

  • Infections: Increased risk of infections has been reported. Avoid initiating therapy in patients with active infections. Monitor for signs during and after treatment.

  • Tuberculosis: Reactivation of TB may occur. Consider prophylactic TB treatment in patients with past history.

  • Malignancies: Risk of lymphoma and other cancers. Assess risk/benefit, especially in patients with a history of malignancy.

  • Vaccination: Do not administer live vaccines during treatment. The efficacy of non-live vaccines has not been studied. Herpes zoster vaccination is recommended prior to initiation.
