- Renal Impairment: Dose adjustment is necessary in patients with impaired renal function. Regular monitoring of renal function is recommended.
- C. difficile Infection: Antibiotic use may lead to Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea. Monitor for diarrhea and treat accordingly.
- Superinfection: Long-term use may result in fungal or bacterial superinfections. Monitor patient response and adjust therapy as needed.
- Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Use with caution. Limited human data available—consult your physician before initiating treatment.
