Bevyxxa (Betrixaban) is a factor Xa inhibitor indicated for the prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in adult patients hospitalized for acute medical illness who are at increased risk due to:

  • Prolonged immobility

  • Acute heart failure

  • Stroke

  • Infections, or

  • Risk factors such as advanced age or a history of VTE

Recommended Usage

Bevyxxa is available in:

  • 80 mg capsules – standard daily maintenance dosage

  • Bleeding Risk: Betrixaban can increase the risk of bleeding. Use cautiously in patients with bleeding disorders or those on concurrent anticoagulants or antiplatelet drugs.
