Recommended Dosage:

  • 0.66 mg/kg body weight, administered once weekly via subcutaneous injection.

  • Injection sites may include the upper arms, abdomen, thighs, or buttocks.

  • Weekly injections should be given on the same day each week.

If a dose is missed, it should be administered within 3 days. After 3 days, skip the missed dose and resume on the next scheduled day. Dosing may be individualized based on patient response.

  • Treatment must be supervised by a healthcare provider experienced in pediatric endocrinology.

  • Conduct a fundoscopic examination before starting NGENLA to rule out papilledema.

  • Severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis or angioedema may occur; discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention if symptoms arise.

  • Reduced insulin sensitivity and risk of hyperglycemia may occur, especially in patients with obesity, Turner syndrome, or family history of diabetes. Monitor blood glucose levels regularly.
