Adults and children (1 year and older) with newly diagnosed chronic phase Ph+ CML
Adults with chronic, accelerated, or blast phase Ph+ CML who are resistant or intolerant to prior therapy
Recommended Dosage:
- Adults (newly diagnosed CP Ph+ CML): 400 mg once daily with food
- Adults (resistant/intolerant CP/AP/BP Ph+ CML): 500 mg once daily with food
- Pediatric Patients:
- Newly diagnosed CP Ph+ CML: 300 mg/m² once daily with food
- Resistant/intolerant CP Ph+ CML: 400 mg/m² once daily with food
Administration Guidelines: - Take with food; swallow tablets or capsules whole
- If using capsules and swallowing is an issue, they may be mixed with applesauce or yogurt (do not replace a full meal)
- If a dose is missed by more than 12 hours, skip the dose and resume at the next scheduled time
Gastrointestinal Disturbances: May cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain. Stay hydrated and consult a doctor if symptoms persist.
Low Blood Cell Counts: May lead to infections, bleeding, or anemia. Regular CBC monitoring is necessary.
Liver Function: May elevate liver enzymes. Monitor liver function tests regularly.
