Orserdu (elacestrant) is an estrogen receptor antagonist indicated for postmenopausal women and adult men with ER-positive, HER2-negative, ESR1-mutated advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It is used in patients whose disease has progressed after at least one prior endocrine therapy.
Recommended Dosage:
- 345 mg taken orally once daily with food.
- Continue treatment until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.
- Swallow tablets whole; do not crush, chew, or split.
If a dose is missed by more than six hours or vomiting occurs, skip the dose and resume the next day at the regular time.
Lipid Abnormalities: Monitor cholesterol and triglyceride levels before starting and periodically during treatment.
Pregnancy Risk: Can cause fetal harm. Use effective contraception during treatment and for 7 days after the last dose.
Breastfeeding: Not recommended during treatment and for 7 days after the final dose due to potential adverse effects in infants.
Hepatic Impairment: Avoid in patients with severe hepatic impairment. Dose adjustments may be required in moderate impairment (Child-Pugh B).
