Xospata is a kinase inhibitor approved for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) that carries a FLT3 mutation.
Recommended Dosage:
- 120 mg orally once daily, with or without food
- Do not break, chew, or crush tablets
- Treatment duration: minimum 6 months unless progression or unacceptable toxicity occurs
- Resume missed doses if taken at least 12 hours before the next scheduled dose
Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD)/Pneumonitis: Can be fatal. Monitor for respiratory symptoms and promptly assess any new/worsening cough, dyspnea, or fever.
Liver Toxicity: Monitor liver enzymes (ALT, AST, bilirubin) before and regularly during treatment. Interrupt dose if elevated.
Fetal Harm Risk: May harm an unborn baby. Use effective contraception during treatment and for 1 week after the last dose.
Breastfeeding: Not recommended during and for 1 week after final dose due to potential risk to the infant.
Drug Interactions: Inform your doctor of all other medications, including OTC and herbal supplements.
